They're really not interested in you anymore if you're just stopping for coffee. "Get to the back of the bus" is the message we were given by a condescending employee. Customer service is not a strength here.

I am sorry to here about your experience at the Roost. We have been trying to blend our bakery and bistro and I think that has been to our detriment. This confusion has been difficult for customers and staff alike. We have recently tried to separate the experiences as we are required by our winery license and hopefully this will... More

Had the great pleasure visiting The Roost. To my surprise they had pizza on the menu. Wasn't just pizza it was a culinary experience for sure. Was cooked in a pizza oven, cooked by a real Italian pizza maker and ingredients were fresh and beyond tasty. Can't wait to be back, thanks for a wonderful meal! Bravo to the Cook!

This used to be our go to bakery and coffee stop now is a restaurant. We've had numerous breakfasts here. Great location for to and from the ferry. Great treats to take away even full frozen meat pies.

We had a very dissapointing experience when our large group had dinner at the Roost. The service was very slow, the area we were sitting in was freezing cold and the food was not that great. We had previously eaten there and it had been good so we were surprised how bad this was.

My kids brought me here to taste their great homemade food and yes it was delicious. The choices were amazing. I had the "Roost Riser" - 2 Eggs, 2 Sausages, 2 Bacon, Home Potatoes, and 2 Toast. I could not finish it. The service was excellent, the atmosphere in there all felt so great. On the other side is the... More

A group of 18P had dinner at the Roost. A lot of us ordered the 1/2 chicken and it was so dry I nearly choked on it, everyone complained. Beef Stroganoff was greasy and had to be sent back. As well as bad food we sat in a partially closed patio and nearly froze. None of us will be back... More

We have been coming here for years, they have amazing food. They now have far more room to serve you, and it no longer feels cramped. We love coming here with family for breakfast or lunch... such great local food and a great family business to support. These guys also feature local artists work on the walls!

Thank you for stopping by to try our estate wines. Our specialty wines are ever so popular of course our signature wine - GINGER SWEETHEART is the big deal in the summer months. Add some soda & a fresh lime and you have a fabulous spritzer for the deck. If you come back to our lovely island, it would be... More

We are a breakfast group of 8-10 people every Friday morning. For the past two mornings, we have tried out the Roost since it has expanded into a full service dining experience. Description
We are a passionate farm! We create and share locally grown food and wines Situated in the heart of North Saanich's pastoral landscape, the focus is on local food and wine, and sustainability. More than just a bakery/cafe, The Roost roosts on 10 acres of farmland where we grow many items used to produce the food we proudly serve. The wheat grown and milled on-site is used to bake breads fresh daily. The blueberries, sheep, and a unique vineyard, all add to the authentic experience. You'll love coming out to our place! Whether you sit on the porch, get comfy in the secret garden, relax on our "chicken-bus", or laze at a picnic bench looking out over the farm and vineyard, you are sure to enjoy a passionate farm experience!
