Called in on a Saturday afternoon and it was 2 degrees outside, lovely place and the beer was good but when it’s 2 degrees outside they need to put the heating on, it was absolutely freezing inside too. Had a quick drink and decided it...More

My partner and I love this pub, it’s old rustic features with rickety rooms make the experience much more than just a normal pub. A wide range of real ales on tap along with an extensive gin menu make a quick drink hard to have...More

Can't fault the staff, service and the charm of this place but like a few of the pubs in this Knead group, the food totally underwhelms. Pizzas were too thin (almost like a Jacobs Cream Cracker dryness) & the toppings meagre and tasteless. Pizza profit...More

Although expensive, The Prince Rupert’s beer selection and pizzas are exceptional. Bar tender usually allows a taster before committing to a pint. I’d recommend.

This is a lovely little pub with lots of separate rooms with both benches and comfortable chairs. The ale and food are both first class. Would highly recommend.

We have only eaten lunch here but it has always been imaginative food well cooked and a cut above most pub grub experiences. They keep a good cellar and the staff are very friendly, well worth a visit.

Reasonably good, if slightly expensive, watering hole in a fabulous building dating from the 15th century. If only the staff would smile it might have got another star. The rooms are welcoming. The staff aren't.

Very good staff and quaint surroundings but overpriced for what was basically pub food. The food was good and the staff attentive but you can get better cheaper in other parts of town.

A friend from work was leaving and she had reserved the two upstairs rooms. Great place for this type of event. Most had pre ordered good with many taking advantage of the wine and pizza deal or the pint and pizza deal. The food was...More
