We have visited Muse several times for breakfast - consistently delicious, excellent dishes, in a relaxed bookshop setting. Clever flavour combinations abound - my Hawaiian Poke today was amazing, with fresh ponzi cured salmon, pickled cucumber and carrot, avocado, radish, brown rice, dressing - and...More

The Muse offers a quiet and refined dining choice in the hotel. A somewhat limited menu, but some great choices. The Pork Belly and Steak Tar Tare were very good with some really refreshing Australian wines.

Good menu with lots of healthy - and unhealthy - choices. I would suggest a smaller plate for those os us who like a little platter of something diverse in the morning, such as some bircher, fruit, crupet etc - a little of a few...More

Everything is amazing at Muse, the settings, the coffee, the food, the books in the library, the service. We will come back!

The decor and atmosphere are nice as it is just next to a library. While the food was good (not exceptional), we were surprise by the price. We paid 45$ for 2 toasts, one breakfast burger, 2 espressos and 2 orange juices. It was not...More

Lunched here with 3 friends. Service was superb throughout. My friends enjoyed the freshness and taste of their meals but I was a tad disappointed in the Ploughman's platter. It was pleasantly presented but the bread was dry and needed a larger serve of pickles...More

I just had breakfast at Muse, I decided to go here as I was staying at East Hotel and it was convenient. It was fairly busy but the service was poor. I had to go up to the bar to order as no waiter came...More

Muse is a bookshop, a cafe and a wine bar. It is a space where good food, great wine and the magic of the written word come together in exciting and unprecedented ways. Nestled between Kingston and Manuka in the stylish EAST Hotel on the edge of the Parliamentary Triangle, Muse is a meeting place for those who enjoy a grenache with their Grenville, and their Winton with a good washed rind. We'll be serving food from dawn and into the night, and our selection of new and second hand books will be on sale all day. Our drinks list features a proudly all-Australian selection of wines, beers and spirits sourced from the country's small, independent and boutique producers. We also host a busy calendar of events featuring some of Australia's top writers, thinkers, politicians, artists and winemakers. Award-winning architect Anthony Gill has designed a space that is inspired by Canberra's modernist heritage. Contemporary yet warm and inviting, Muse is a fitting venue for conversation, ideas and indulgence, both literary and epicurean.
