Really nice spot right in the middle of the city. Good set up inside, nice and cosy and friendly staff. Food was fantastic, went for the dinner banquet option. Great value.

Steve looked up the Good Food Guide for a place to go and came across this restaurant, hidden down a lane-way, but well worth finding - could be better signage actually. We had 6 dishes, curried prawns (to die for), I very spicy chicken dish...More

Great Thai restaurant with solid menu options. They also have an array of cocktails and a few beers. Situated in the CBD, this place has a lovely atmosphere and leans towards a more sophisticated clientele opposed to Thai restaurants elsewhere. Friendly and relatively prompt service....More

Dear Tania, Apologies that your evening with us was not a success. Sorry also for the lack of service you felt you weren't getting. One of things that I believe we excel at is our service and on that day we obviously did not.

Didn't need a huge meal so ignored the banquet / tasting menu which looked interesting - chose 2 mains , the pork curry and lamb ribs which were ideal for a simple meal. Both were great produce, beautifully cooked with wonderful spice character. The lamb...More

We had the best evening. Really great service with perfect advice menu, wine, and no up-selling. The durian ice cream was a winner, as was the dry veggie curry and salted fish stir fry. Can’t wait to come back!

Description
Long Chim - Thai for 'come and try' - is the food of modern Bangkok by Michelin star chef David Thompson. Bookings can be made for lunch and dinner and there is always spaces available for walk-ins. The 190-seat restaurant is split over two levels and includes a large open-plan kitchen, a bar and a mix of intimate dining alcoves and counter seats. The restaurant’s fast service style combines with the sounds of clashing woks and the beating rhythm of the pestle as it hits the mortar. It’s a kind of music that leads you to laugh a little louder, stay a little longer and try something new each time. With a selection of Thai street food options including noodles, curries, stir-fries and grilled dishes. Signature dishes include crunchy school prawns with herbs, shallots and chilies; pork skewers or for something more substantial, try the mashed prawn curry.
