Relaxing bar at the edge of Darling Harbour with great food for a great price (under $20). You order the food and drinks at the counter and receive a number. Waiting time can be a little bit too long depending on what time you come during the day (lunch/dinner are usually busy hours). Food is very good, especially the burger... More

Frequented this bar on a few occasions whilst visiting Sydney. We found a relaxed and chilled atmosphere looking onto Darling Harbour with a few beers and pizza. Would definitely recommend this bar. Regards, Drew.

We were group of four who went for dinner and drinks on a Thursday night at Pontoon. We were lured in by $10 pizza and happy hour mojitos. The pizzas were tasteless and the cocktails were watery. One of us also found a beetle in our salad, but to be fair to the place, the manager dealt with it brilliantly... More

Well if you're in the right mood it's hard not to enjoy any place that lines the harbour with lovely water views.... I found the beers to be slightly more expensive than on the east side of the harbour... a schooner cost me the same as a pint did on the east side. The staff were pleasant but I wouldn't... More

My friend and I decided to try this bar on a lazy Saturday afternoon after seeing a show, The atmosphere is relaxed, the pub was full because of the rugby and it was great to sit and chill for the afternoon over a few drinks. We ended up staying for pepperoni and chilli pizza and that was good. If sitting... More

Stopped here for a drink and a light lunch and we were not disappointed. Great location on Darling harbour. Staff were efficient and helpful. Great place to sit and watch the world go by.

We stopped off at this restaurant on our way to see a play at the Opera House. It is one of the cheaper restaurant lining Darling Harbor. We ordered a veggie burger and a Greek salad and both were quite good and reasonably priced given the location.

Food was just ok. Beer was cold. No highchair for 2 year old. Place did not seem overly clean or organized. Great location and view

The heading says it all. I do frequent this location when I am in Sydney - what's not to like? A spectacular harbour view, a solid beer selection (ASAHI Black FTW) and the food is not bad either. But God in heaven the bathroom is atrocious. There is nothing better than hearing patrons saying and I quote, 'it smells like... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
