Great steak house, choices of many cuts of meat and superbly cooked...and situated in the rocks so close to everything. Staff were really good and helpful and the food was great

Took my parents to this restaurant last night the food was fine, however the infestation of cockroaches was less than pleasing. with the Waitresses response purely that we are in the rocks...... no I'm in a supposed to be in a high class restaurant. Pretty poor for a $700 meal..... will not be going here again.

It was a very special occasion dinner. The location and design of the restaurant is beautiful and reminds me of speak-easy style. All staff are very attentive and have a good focus on small details. The menu is fabulous! Well done to all chefs! Amazing beef trolley service, David explained all about different beef cuts, home made veal jus, the... More

If you're looking for exceptional beef, this is the place to go. Steaks are rated by their marble content and the service is very caring.

The food and cocktails were delicious. Very disappointed when I approached the lady settling all the bills at the end of the night to let her know that the roof had a leak, my dress was stained with brown fluid and she just dismissed me like it was not big deal. Would hate to think what the brown fluid was... More

Business meeting and found the Cut a level above expectations. Didn't realize the place was such a high level restaurant and IMO, one of the best restaurants in the Rocks end of town. Strangely, if female, you may feel isolated, as the day we lunched, there was not one female diner in the entire establishment and it was packed with... More

A friend and I went for dinner. Steak was the preferred option and the trolley selection was fabulous. Add a Bernaise sauce and some red wine and it all works. Service was good and way to get a table on a Wednesday

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
