This eatery is our all time favourite for indian food. Friendly staff, always smiling and patient with us as we pick our choices from the bain marie. There are always customers there so they have a high turnover of all the dishes. There are many choices to choose from (lamb rogan josh is one of our faves). In all the... More

The menu is super easy to understand, you can see the cuisines so u know what u are getting, prices are very affordable. Don't expect high class luxuary service.

No frills restaurant but clean and tidy.Chilled tap water available to help oneself to. A mouthwatering array of meat and veggie curries, naan bread, starters etc on display to choose from - a serving includes rice and 3 portions of curries of your choice Plate size options - I chose small and the portion was extremely generous - $7.50 (... Since it's already quite inexpensive relative to general eateries around Sydney, you unfortunately do have to kind of hassle staff if you want really superb quality and risk coming across as finicky in front of a wide variety of funny people, ie it felt like a bit of a battle to get a freshly made cheese nan and more chicken... After reading the previous review, there of us went, tandoori chicken was very good but the curry's, all looked similar, watery, rogan josh, nothing like it, no onion or tomatoes or spice, madras was laughable, no heat or green peppers, watery, total opposite of what a madras is, butter chicken very bland, only good tasty curry was the goat curry,... I'm not sure how this place got 4 stars- maybe it had a serious off day when we tried it? The chicken masala tasted and looked like it was made with a soup mix. The butter chicken tasted like nothing. The naans had the same texture as a pre cooked pizza base from the Woolworths bread section. Just... Don't.

MUST TRY! The food at this place is on point! As a fast casual restaurant, the flavor of the food actually is quite immersed. From the goat to the chicken, the flavor can not be beat. Excellent food for a quick bite or excellent food for food lovers to enjoy. The price is very reasonable for the portions they give.... More

The fist time I went there it was just because of the amount of different dishes you can choose from. It was immediate addiction and I had to come back twice.

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
