Couldn't hold out until our friends arrived in Sydney, so we went here for dinner tonight...Shhh, do tell! We ate at a long table we shared with people we didn't know, 1st couple next to us were Chinese with an Australian twang & the next couple could have been from anywhere, but were speaking french...maybe they were spies??? Anyway, food... More

I love Din Tai Fung! I’ve been to many around the world and Sydney’s DTF is still good. I feel the menu isn’t as extensive as the overseas ones like Singapore, but the food is good either way. We had the usual, dumplings, rice and noodles, the salted custard bun, which oozes out when you pinch it is amazing!! Lunch... More

This is an easy win for any casual dinner out - whether it's with friends, family or alone! I have been so many times and am still impressed every time. Fantastic dumplings and noodles! If you haven't been, you are missing out.

This chain is so good and the dumplings are just stunning. They serve alcohol! Very good, very busy and strongly recommended

We went here for dinner on the Saturday Night just after Chinese New Year and the line for a table was very long. We were given a sheet to order dinner, a pager and told the wait would be half an hour. We sat down at a outside table to wait, marked our order sheet and half an hour later... More

The service is good and food is excellent.. The only issues is the waiting time for a table and that fact that nothing on the menu has a price on it. So it can get a bit expensive when you get up to pay the bill $$$$$$.. You really need to try and have a pork bun! So good!!

Greetings from a true Singaporean! 🙋🏻 Went to Din Tai Fung last month here in Sydney because the place reminds me of the place back in my homeland. The dumplings were as good as the ones in Singapore. Thank you for making my visit such a great and welcoming experience.

Just loved every item we ordered on the menu, great service all around staff, friendly and very efficient. Price is reasonable, my only concern if they had used any MSG in the food. Will ask next time. My companion said it was the best Chinese he has ever had.

We have dined at Din Tai Fung in Singapore and Hong Kong so were curious to try the Sydney restaurant. Menu was very similar, with a few favourites missing, but the main attraction of the dumplings were as good as we remembered. We visited on a Tuesday evening and didn't have to wait for a table. Delicious!

We love Din Tai Fung. It's a school holiday must for my two teenagers. My son loves the beans and we all love the xiao long boas. We had the honey beef for the first time this visit and it was delicious. If you dumplings are your thing then you need to go to Din Tai Fung.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
