This hotel was close to where we stayed so popped in for a counter pub lunch. It was very enjoyable & great value for money. They have a different lunch special each day. The pokies were a bit of fun & they provide tea & coffee machine, cool drink post mix & nibblies including party pies the night we were... More

Great bar downstairs for locals and for drinks after work, and a great lounge/dining room upstairs. Food was tasty and staff professional and attentive. Not far from central station and only quick walk from museum station or Paddy's Markets. Recommended for both drinks and evening meal.

This review is for the bar. So I stayed nearby and passed in on a Saturday. It was good for people watching and a live band. Completlety different story from our Sunday night experience. Me and my husband had passed by the bar initially to find a cafe to grab food. Since nothing was open we attempted to stop by... More

Decided to go to the Crown Hotel after a busy day walking around Sydney. Dinning room is just the perfect size, big enough for groups but small enough to still be personal. Ordered the chicken schnitzel which came out promptly and was great. Meals were very reasonable priced and well sized. My only complaint was that once our meals were... More

Good quality pub meal to replenish the stocks after a long day of travel and transit. Menu is typical of most modern pubs and the prices are quite affordable.

We arrived late in the evening and the staff were more than happy to serve us. Staff were friendly and the meals were delicious. Nice quiet dining room and close to the Vibe Hotel were we were staying. Good value pub meals.

Service was good, meal came out promptly. I ordered the burger. Unfortunately I think cooking the meat pattie properly can't have been high on their list of things to do that night. Chips were good though Reasonably priced.

Real pub in the middle of the city. This place became a much loved 'after work drink' watering hole when we worked up the road. Now we've moved to George street, we still make the effort to go when we can. Not sure why we know it as 'The lord Byron' but that's just how it goes. Great atmosphere any... More

The bistro at the Crown Hotel is tucked up the stairs in a cute little dining room. The food selection is varied enough without getting confused. Usual pub fare: schnitzels, steaks, salads etc but other items to tempt and nice specials. Kids menu has small schnitzel, pasta, fish and chips or cheeseburger. Our kids had the schnitty and loved it.... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
