fine, nothing special, good quality food, especially if you're looking for "healthy food", but really nothing special, and definitely not worth the price. the service was good and the place is small but looks inviting.

Good ambience but overrated for its food - ok quality but expensive . Good place for names and celebrities, saw Tania P walking out as we were going in.

Nice Breakfast - nice smoothies and corn fritters. Service was a little slow , and considering the restaurant isnt particularly large and wasn't full, was a bit disappointing. I do wonder however if the restaurant relies to much on the "Bill" brand, rather than offering up excellent quality food , as there are better breakfasts to be found in Sydney

This is my third visit to Bills but my first to the Darlinghurst branch and also my first time having breakfast. The food was good as expected - we had the full Aussie - as were the coffees. However, the service was abysmal. The wait staff are either uninterested in helping customers - had to wait for around at the... More

This place was recommended to us by a friend, and we were not disappointed. We ordered their classic ricotta hotcakes, eggs on sourdough and the kale, eggs and sourdough breakfast. That, along with two flat whites was $73 - so warning, this place is not for those who are budget conscious. It's a lively atmosphere, with some smaller tables and... More

Visiting Sydney for the first time, everyone said that brunch at Bills was a must, and they were right! Delicious, fresh food from a lovely menu. Pleasant staff and a super cool interior made this one of our favourite places. Just sad we only made it the once!

Got recommended this place by a local friend. Lovely food and coffee but the service was some of the worst I've had. Surly waitress, at least 15 minutes for coffees to arrive and then getting anyone's attention for ordering was a real imposition on the staff. Place wasn't that busy either. Fix the service and this place is a must... More

We have visited Bills at Darlinghurst many times over many years for breakfast. It is consistently excellent food, particularly their hot cakes (pancakes). Coffee here is also good. On our most recent visit we felt that service standards had declined & we had to catch the waiters attention for any service even though it was not particularly busy. Meals are... More

Funny how a small part of the experience can ruin the whole thing. Had a nice breakfast there, on a nice sunny day, on my own, it between appointments. The food was exactly as expected, (how exciting can avocado on toast be?) and the coffee was good too. I have been to this place many times, and always tipped. This... More

Bills Darlinghurst, this is where it all began, in 1992. The miniscule kitchen and tiny dining room in one of Darlo's old backstreet pub buildings, serving just a blackboard-menu breakfast and lunch, set the tone for bills still does today. Local by-laws allowed only a few seats - hence the now much-copied communal table where everyone eats together, reading the newspaper or striking up a conversation with the person enjoying scrambled eggs next to them. Today, it's still a simple Sydney corner cafe, serving a menu of bills classics.
