We had a large group dinner here with a set menu of 5 tapas entrées and a main paella. From the 5 tapas offerings, two were good ( meat balls and calamari) and the others quite average to poor ( grilled capsicum, chorizo sausage and a potato salad). The paella was discussing and I didn't see many of the guests... More

We're Spanish speaking family and went for the paella. From the moment we were greeted to the end all the staff were warm and friendly. The paella was for 4 people. Very generous with plenty of chicken and seafood. I'd definitely recommend and come again on my next trip to Sydney.

All round an amazing meal. We shared the mixed tapas and the chicken & seafood paella, followed by desserts. Kids had a variety of items from the kids menu/tapas. Everything was absolutely beautiful! The potato in spicy sauce was a highlight, as was the paellla. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

The sorry tale of our visit to this restaurant really demonstrates better than anything that you should never make rash decisions on an empty stomach. Having wandered a bustling, vibed up Sydney on Saturday night at 9pm (first mistake) looking for some kind of food, we were enticed into this reasonable authentic looking tapas gaff. It was all downhill from... More

Pity two other groups that came into restaurant after us ordered before us. Took a long time to attract waitresses attention to come take our order. Ordered mixed tapas - chorizo cooked one side only so flavour fell flat, calamari oil could have been slightly hotter as coating tasted a bit soggy and floury, meatballs below average tasted as if... We wanted a Spanish dinner tonight in Sydney, something different than what we usually have when on holidays here. I hadn't eaten here since 2001 - but we were welcomed like old family when we got here by Omar Geronimo, the maître'd'. Wow. All we can say is Wow!. We ordered the mixed hot tapas with a side of garlic... More

The guy out the front convinced us to come in and eat (usually I am very wary of people spruiking) I am glad we listened to him, it was well worth it. We had our two grand daughters with us (8 & 10) and they both enjoyed their chosen meals, one off the regular menu and one off the kids,... More

Noticed it last night and decided to eat here tonight. Shared the mixed tapas for two and then shared the churros and finished with coffee. We had eaten a big lunch so this was ideal. Had plenty of food-all delicious. The atmosphere was lovely, they had a very good spanish guitarist playing live and the staff were genuinely friendly.

In Sydney for a holiday with my mum and we walked 15 metres (in the heart of Sydney's Chinatown precinct) before we ran into Geronimo who enticed us into Casa Asturiana. We "thought" it was Spanish but the chef and front house man were brothers and from Brazil and they have a gem of a business. Lots of people have... More

Had dinner there last night. The little man clapping at the front door drew my attention. I found the ambiance to be really nice with bit of live music. The food was really nice, I had the seafood soup for a main. The prices were not outrageous, like some in the area. Just a nice place to go for a... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
