As the venue for a friends 60th I held high hopes for Mazzar'O, and Mazzar'O did not fail to deliver! The restaurant is gorgeous, situated across from Hyde Park. The staff were friendly and hospitable welcoming us the moment we walked in. The food was so fresh and delicious. At no point in the evening did I have to ask... More

I was here for a quick bite last night. Busy restaurant with a nice ambience about it. Live music, good food and a pretty decent wine list.

Staying at the Sheraton on the park and with weddings and parties the bar was too busy to eat. Decided to take a walk further down Elizabeth street and came across this amazing little Italian restaurant. The pork Loin was absolutely AMAZING and a must try. My wife had the chicken and was also really pleased as well. I highly... More

This restaurant was next door to the Hyde Park Inn where we were staying before flying out overseas. The food, service and decor were great and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and wines.

I went here for a farewell dinner with some friends. Really friendly staff who were on the ball with keeping drinks topped up. Meals were fabulous - really fresh Sydney Rock Oysters. Food was cooked perfectly and all served at the same time. Great atmosphere for having a meal.

Brief review: Older leisure traveler, male. I had passed the restaurant several times during my first visit to Sydney (on Elizabeth Street, just west of the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park), and decided to stop in for lunch. Upscale surroundings, excellent food, excellent service, recommended.

Located next to and a part of The Hyde Park Inn, Mazzaro Restaurant is an excellent dining experience in the city. First impressions are great: nice ambience, polite staff, linen tablecloths and napkins, candle on each table. The menu is appealing to all tastes, each dish simply explained without any fancy words that the average person does not understand. The... More

Once again we had a lovely dinner at Mazzaro. An exceptional Shiraz from Orange NSW accompanied my duck which was beautiful. Everyone enjoyed their meals although it was disappointing that a number of specials were no longer available. Finishing with an affogatto topped a lovely night!!

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
