We came here for lunch on a Monday. Waiters were excellent and food although very expensive was very very nice. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Although an Italian restaurant that one would expect only fine dining for lunch or dinner, they also serve breakfast mostly continental. A little pricey but considering its location right in Martin Place and otherwise it is a fine dining place, it was ok. Service was...More

Impeccable service, good Italian food and great local and Italian wine selection. Serving sizes are not large, but surprisingly filling. The entree Eggplant tasted just superb and very authentic. The Lamb Shoulder main was melt in the mouth. Cannoli tasted just like those from Sicily....More

Fungi pappardelle. Overall presentation was great. Slightly cold. Slightly salty. Mushrooms need a bit more culinary skills. The ingredients slightly overpowering the pasta. Ambience can be improved with more decor at the tables, currently they look barely and lonely.

For me the wine list is as important as the menu. The intermezzo offers an excellent wine list, created by Mathieu Mouraire. Food perfectly cooked and the service was very attentively. Stephan W.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

Intermezzo is in the Westin Hotel and therefore "classy". I wouldn't say that you couldn't take children there, but it'd be best if they were older. Costs are a factor too, as this restaurant is not cheap.
