We have been to many fine dining restaurants, so before we came here, I said, “Don’t expect too much”. Well probably because we were not expecting anything, that’s why we were impressed. That night Tetsuya was only serving degustation menu. We had succulent & creamy...More

Great dinner with family. Great service. 8 course Dinner. 3 of them were exceptional. Ocean trout, wagyu beef and the chocolates at the end. Food quality is exceptional. We had Japanese-French food at our hotel in Hokkaido and that was amazing. This is why I...More

We were a party of 4, celebrating a huge recent achievement, so we were ready for a good time! From the entry gate, greetings, attention and escort to our table were first class. But it deteriorated from there. Throughout, the food was exceptional, and this...More

I hate to say it but this was an extremely disappointing dining experience. We had not been to Tetsuya for over a decade but have been just about everywhere else in the interim. We were eagerly looking forward to it. First, the food. It was...More

We had the chef's menu with wine pairing. A meal of 2 seafood, 3 fish, 2 meat dishes plus 3 desserts was a feast, a bit too mush for me at the end. It was good wine pairing choices that matched nicely with each dish...More

We were very hopeful knowing Tetsuyas reputation but we were quite crushed that our special meal was such a unenjoyable experience. The food was unimpressive but the experience was made all the poorer for the attitude of the staff. Fine dining does not require staff...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

Tetsuya's serves a ten course degustation menu. The degustation is unique, based on the Japanese philosophy of using natural seasonal flavours, enhanced by classic French technique and utilising the freshest possible ingredients. Tetsuya designed his own on-site "test kitchen" within the restaurant to enable him to create the constantly evolving and inspiring dishes on which he has built his esteemed international reputation. Tetsuya's offers one of Sydney's most comprehensive wine lists and our sommeliers will, upon request, match the dishes with wine available by the glass.
