I'm giving it 5/5 as I had an excellent night with my second half. The view is gorgeous and it's a very small and cosy restaurant. I really enjoyed it and sincerely hope this restaurant will continue it's business for a few more years. Given it's location, wine menu and privacy - I think it's great. Truthfully, this restaurant would... More

We spent the perfect New Year's Eve at Yuki's. special thanks to Shu, the manager for his fantastic job. We spent 6 hours at his event with 2 teenagers. It was super casual and family friendly. The restaurant had lots of great food and 3 food tents cooking up fresh food all night. They had a fantastic drum band that... More

A wonderful night, we watched a large passenger liner pull out to expose and billion dollar view. The food was fresh and delicious. Do try the Sake cocktails. Very pleasant staff. Price reasonable. Would be an excellent spot for NYE.

Yuki's is a touristy spot but the view was amazing and the food was good. I loved the service. You get a great view of the opera house. If you're there and budget isn't a major concern, I highly recommend it!

We ordered the 6 course summer menu. The food was delicious, however we were disappointed with the service. Having spent approximately $200 per person, we received service that's on par with what you'd expect at an average cafe in Sydney. The supervisor and wait staff were calling their customers 'stupid' in Japanese. They didn't know that I understood Japanese and... More

Yuki's overlooks the Sydney Opera House, a coveted view, and you can watch the boats moving in and out of the Quay. But the room has the atmosphere of a cafe! Don't be put off, the food is superb. The service is good, not great. The wine is reasonable. The coffee is Nespresso, safe but bland. The food, though, is... More

The food was good, no complaints there. The service however, was terrible - and this was taking business clients to dinner. Dishes arrived very late (even well after I'd called for the bill). Early on a Saturday night they didn't have any of 3 key entree dishes (sold out the night before!). There seemed to be little if any coordination... More

Perched on top of the International Ocean Terminal at Circular Quay is Yuki's. Sit inside or out, watch the harbour traffic buzz, sample a wide range of Japanese meals but especially the high quality seafood while sipping a cold Asahi or sake. The staff are attentive and elegant, and Shu Sugisaki is there to provide advice on your meal choices... More

Don't sit inside. Ask for an outdoor table and enjoy an uninterrupted view of the harbour, the Opera house and the city. The food is nicely done. The wagyu is to die for.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
