My friend's hubby was confined at St Vincent's hospital and we would always pass this small restaurant with a long table inside. We were intrigued by the crowd ever night so we decided to give it a try. My friend had the mushroom gnocchi and...More

Visited for the second time to A Tavola last night. Service, food and setting were 100% on point. It was a lovely night and I will be back.

This place has fantastic service and amazing food. The prices are a bit pricey but you pay for what you get. We spent our 8 year anniversary at this venue and it was the perfect choice!

No booking, but they made seats available at the long communal table. Wine waiter was particularly patient and keen to ensure we were happy with what we had chosen. Quite noisy but still able to have a decent conversation. Food was up to the mark!

Everything from start to finish was perfect here. The service was fantastic (couldn't fault it at all), warm and friendly. Our waiter, Max explained the menu as it was our first time, and gave us a few recommendations that we absolutely loved. The wines he...More

This was my first time here. I loved the main dining table where several groups sat. My friend and I sat at the end of the table, near the kitchen, just after the lovely Italian waiter took my coat and hung it up for me....More

The worst restaurant I have ever visited. The food & service was terrible. The place is poorly laid out & crowded.

We experienced efficient and friendly service here. The food was very tasty but most importantly the pasta was freshly made and delicious. There are so many good restaurants in Sydney it's hard to choose when there on holiday-we were pleased we tried this Italian one.

The food, the setting, the young Italian waiters ! , made me feel like I was in Italy. A fabulous all round experience. I didn't want to leave. They know service. They have enough staff on, and just the right level of service with grace...More

One of my favourite Italian restaurants in the world. A Tavola is authentic, fabulous and very special. You feel transported here in a very good way. Impeccable food and service. The stuffed olives are straight out of Ascoli Pienza. Amazing!

If you're after an individual table I'd recommend booking. I've only ever been as a walk-in and have always been seated on the communal table (Darlinghurst). Whilst I haven't requested an individual table as a walk-in, I... More

Description
A Tavola was established in 2007 in buzzing Darlinghurst on Victoria Street by chef owner Eugenio Maiale. A Tavola quickly earnt a reputation of being one of Sydney's best places to go for authentic Italian pasta. The long marble table is filled with loyal and regular diners - all seduced by the simplicity and honesty of Eugenio's food and especially his love of good pasta.
