The food was average and not the cheapest. However the live music in the background is worth the visit. Not sure if I will be returning but can highly recommend if you would like to experience something different.

All the dishes we had were really excellent in both looks and taste and different from the usual heavy sauced terriyaki. The wine was well priced at around $45 a bottle. Small restaurant with a guy banging out tunes on the piano made talking difficult. No interaction with the pianist - he arrived, banged out some music, packed up and... More

My friend suggested this as a place to catch up over dinner when one of our British friends was in town. Well I wasn't disappointed, the good was beautiful, staff were friendly and the music was good. We had a great experience and I will definitely be going back. Only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because we... More

This is a small restaurant in a back street around Central Railway. Easy to get to by rail and walk, by bus and short walk or even by car, there is some parking to be had. I was with a party of 6 women, out to hear some Jazz and even to have a bit of a jam. Sydney has... More

Went there a couple of times now, the first time on the recommendation of a colleague and friend. No regrets. Yesterday evening, together with the significant other, enjoyed the 10-course-Valentine Day's set, with a bottle of Te Mata Estate Gamay Noir to go with it. It was all quite the feast. The food is really good, the service sometimes a... More

Great being so close to the musicians. Piano and sax (I think it was Naoki Hoshino and Aaron Blakey; not sure) combined really well on mostly old standards in mainstream style, but with a savvy verve all their own. Their Dave Brubeck arrangements were especially good, drawing strong applause, and they clearly enjoyed playing the more challenging tunes. Venue, food,... More

Arrived too early about 6. Great modern Japanese fusion with a twist. Would suggest booking from 7 when there is a live jazz who are wonderful and a atmosphere for an enjoyable dining experience.

First time to this place - great Japanese food (not all sushi) and terrific jazz on the piano and saxophone. Suggest booking back room as can get too noisy to eat, but after eating move to the front to listen to the great music. highly recommended.

I've been to a lot of restaurants in Sydney, and this is my favorite. I actually prefer upstairs outside or in the back room, as sometimes the live jazz is too loud for me. But honestly, I like jazz, but I keep coming back for the food. The salmon and kingfish carpacio is my favorite raw seafood dish in Sydney.... More

I have been to Jazushi a few times now and ordered the degustation menu at each visit. I must say the quality of the food has been consistent on each occasion. Every dish is fresh and tasty. If possible try and get a table at the back or even outside as the front room can get quite loud because of... More
