The private room downstairs, with own bar, was excellent for a work dinner but the steak was average (300g rib-eye ordered medium rare, arrive medium well). Most restaurants would at least apologise for messing the steak up...but got nothing from the waitress/manager when I pointed out the way it was cooked. Unprofessional - won't be going back, there are much... More

The restaurant is in an old soap and candle factory. The décor is pleasant and the sound acoustics makes it easy to talk. The staff were friendly and helpful but we were in a large group and they didn't seem to know who ordered what. The entrees were very good, we had olives, salt ‘n’ pepper calamari, roast garlic tiger... More

Excellent location. Great bar and potential private room downstairs. Steaks were great, sides and sauces also very good.

As Kingsleys has a fairly lofty reputation, left somewhat underwhelmed. Quality of steak was just so so and if the wait staff broke into a smile we thought the world would end. They just appeared as if they did not want to be there. In saying that though they executed their tasks without fault. Dim lighting (we ate on top... More

We arrived on a Friday night without a reservation. The manager was very accommodating and said she'd be able to have a table for us in about 30 min. After enjoying a glass of wine on the outdoor patio our table was ready. Service was excellent as were the steaks, wine and sides. Everything arrived at the right time and... More

Dinner meeting at Kingsley's was great. The old building (I'm told it was a candle factory) has a wonderful ambience, and it's a great place to sit and talk with your guests. The steak was OK, and the sides were very nice particularly the mushrooms. Prices are reasonable for Sydney... factor around $70 pp all up. But expect to pay... More

Definitely a place if you love meat and wine!. Steak was cooked perfectly, and the sides (chips, onion rings and truffle buttter) were awesome!. I would also like to compliment the waitress, who was new and could speak alittle English. Thankyou for your great service!

We ordered 2x Angus Rib-Eye (MSA) 150 Day Grain Fed 350g These tasted terrible. Maybe weren't flames cook. Textures like been stewed. Basiclly, over priced and definetely over rated in reviews.

My friend and I went to Kingsleys on a recent shopping trip to Sydney as I had read reviews on it first and they were pretty good. My friend likes her steak very well done so she was very happy when the waitress said they had a "cremate" button and she assured her it would indeed be well done! We... More

We were 5 persons for dinner in this lovely location with perfect menu and friendly staff. All kinds of steak, specially T-bone steak are great.

Located at 29a King Street, halfway between Kent and Sussex Streets, Sydney in the heart of the CBD and housed in a former candle factory. Kingsleys transformed the site into a superb dining and entertainment space. From the intimate atmosphere of The Old Cigar Lounge (private dining room), to the spacious upper floors, its interior features exposed timber beams with cathedral ceilings. The extensive A-la-carte Menu boasts fresh produce with seasonal highlights from light entrees of seafood to a choice from 12 different grass and grain fed steaks… We also offer flexible Set Menus to ensure every dining experience is ambient and flavoursome. All Kingsleys steaks are bred and selected under the strictest guidelines. The result is export quality produce selected from the top 1% of Australian Beef. Taste the difference.
