Just popped in for a quick meal
I have missed eating out in the last two years
I had been to this location many times but it had a new name and new owners and I had been recommended to go
The menu is quite extensive and likely to meet any diners requirements. Primarily Greek food but there is nothing wrong with that
I had the octopus balls which is an entree size meal. It was quite tasty and well presented.
I had a glass of sav blanc to wash it down but the table comes with a cold jug of water as well
The meal was served quickly and reasonably priced

First time eating at Meraki in Darwin. Can not recommend this restaurant enough. An all round amazing experience. The food was delicious and we couldnt stop ordering dishes purely because we just wanted to try everything. The service was second to none - everybody working was kind, polite and professional. Our waiter recommended all of our dishes and he did an incredible job because every dish tasted amazing.

Oh my word, where to start? The service was sensational. The place was packed (we had to book 3 days in advance), but the waiters made us feel like we were the only people on the planet. The food was magnificent, the drinks cold and sparkling. It was the highlight of our restaurant visits by a mile. A place not to be missed. The decor was fresh and clean. I review it as fine dining, based on the quality of the food rather than the fanciness of it.

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our Hotel. We opted for a grilled seafood platter. The food was without doubt some of the worst I've had in some time, largely consisted of squid in its various guises all cooked to the consistency of vulcanized rubber. I'd definitely give this place a miss

You can’t go wrong at this beautiful locally owned and operated greek restaurant. We had a wonderful night and enjoyed 5 star customer service, high quality food and the beautiful atmosphere with music from Vasilios playing the bouzouki.
I was so impressed and my strict gluten free diet as someone with coeliac disease was catered for easily with no fuss and plenty of meal options for me. Thank you so much to the team at Meraki - we will be back!

We felt quite sorry for the lovely staff here last night. On what started out as a very quiet Monday with few bookings, they were overwhelmed by dozens of walk-ins arriving unexpectedly. Yes, we waited a bit longer for our meals but the atmosphere was great and the food was outstanding. All of our group of six enjoyed their choices and the trio of dips we shared as a starter were delicious. We’ll be back for sure next time we’re in Darwin!

We found this new restaurant within walking distance of the Hilton. The food was excellent, the service efficient and helpful. We love Greek food and found that the dishes had a "fresh approach" to the usual. Well cooked, fresh and plentiful (we couldn't finish our dishes). The service made it feel very "homely". If we were not leaving tomorrow morning, we would have gone back again. Decor was clean and spacious. Thank you so much!

Coming from the capital of Greek restaurants in Australia, I have to say Meraki would be up there with the absolute best. It is authentic Greek food cooked and served with the passion and love that only people who want to share the real Greek food and hospitality can do.
Despina and family including Mum-in-law in the kitchen have truly made this THE place to dine in Darwin.

I don't know if Meraki need a review as the restaurant was full on the night we visited, but we were so impressed with the food and service. Everything was so tasty, we'll definitely be going again. Really delicious Greek food, well priced and great service.

This was an unexpected find. Wow! The food and friendly service was fantastic. Octopus is not something every Greek restaurant can pull off, but Meraki’s version was superb. The lamb cutlets, perfectly cooked and succulent. The taramasalata was home made, the salad, super fresh and we had lemon potatoes on the side. We ordered a Rhodes dry white which was perfect with lunch. This is a family-run venture, cares that you’ve chosen to visit their eatery and show their appreciation through the friendly, personal service and authentic food. If you’re in Darwin, especially if there are a few of you, don’t miss Meraki. It is a terrific option this foodie would highly recommend. The only thing disappointing about this brilliant nosh spot, is when you have to leave...even though you could have another bottle of that cold, white, crisp Greek white wine. Thanks Meraki. Opa!

We walked towards the city last night to find somewhere to eat and we stumbled across this great place. We didn’t have a booking but they were able to let us in. It was a Monday night and nearly all tables were full. That’s a great sign. The menu has many options to choose from and it was very well priced. Well the food was so amazing and traditional. We particularly loved the moussska and chickpea patties. Still thinking about my them this morning. The staff were all lovely and smiling and did a great job of attending the tables. Can’t wait to go back.

Was looking forward to dining here when in Darwin, while it was a pleasant night it didn't quite hit the mark.
Service from start to finish was very good, could not fault it, dining space was very nice despite being very full, it was the food that didn't quite hit the mark overall. Started of with taramas and haloumi which were good. Also ordered the chargrilled cuttlefish, quail and the lemon potatoes, the quail was quite good , the lemon potatoes were ok but not overally lemony but the cuttlefish was the biggest let down, what came out was a slab of cuttle fish and nothing else apart from a steak knife to cut it, there was no chargrill marks on it, thought it may have come out similar to squid done on a chargrill with small tubes and tentacles but this was just a slab of white stuff which was tough to cut and tasteless, a shame because this was the plate i was most looking forward.
As i said the service was very good and there was a good beer and wine menu to compliment the meal, i would have probably marked it higher but the cuttlefish was such a let down.

Meraki was a revelation. Not just because of the food which is very good but because Meraki is a buzzy happy touch of Greece in Darwin. It has been a long time since I have seen people so enthusiastically engaged and enjoying each others company over good food and wine. Barely a mobile to be seen.
It took me back to the great Greek resteraunts of Swan St Richmond in Melbourne which were casual, fun, good value and always a great night out.
Take a bow Meraki.

This is a little hidden gem in Darwin, you hear all about the other Greek place but we stumbled on this place on our way to getting our mobile repaired.
We visited twice during our recent trip, both times during lunch.
The food was first rate - we tried Pork Souvlaki, pork spareribs, lamb cutlets, eggplant dip, char grilled octopus and fried calamari, Filla and Gemista - we loved every bit of it. Oh and don't forget the Baklava!!! We took it away as we were too full to eat it on site - totally worth it!
Service is friendly and it's a nice, family run business. Drinks list is excellent and reasonably priced. The decor is lovely, all white and quite rustic.
Thoroughly recommended.
