Very popular drinking hole! Can become very crowded to impossible to get a set! Staff are efficient and crowd is always in control by staff. Very noisy but great fun

Popped in after an event elsewhere, we had been told live music would be happening. We only stayed for around 30 minutes - way too many over intoxicated patrons and very very noisy. Shame as it was a lovely place during the day.

Wonderful Guinness pie! Clean, tied, nice food. Bit dark inside. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced..

I eat here about 2-3 times per month as often travel to Brisbane on business. I have found that I can always rely on The Outback Bar to deliver me a good juicy steak. I always consider eating somewhere else or trying something else on...More

We love the outback bar area. It has a great atmosphere and good seating. The usual loud mix of music and TV's with sport and news. The bar is quite good and very well stocked. The staff were great.

Great pub and good location. Close to public transport. Decent prices on the drinks but disappointed they didn't have my Jimmy in a bottle or can. Pie and veges for dinner was divine. Cooked well and meat was recognisable. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

The Outback Bar is a haven in the middle of Brisbane. Nestled under the Story Bridge which provides a unique ceiling and connection to Brisbane's history. One wall is the outside of a World War 2 bombshelter which was commissioned by the great General McArthur. These bombshelters were built to protect the workers at the Evans Deakin Shipyards which was down the road from the pub. They were building ships for the war effort. It has to be seen and makes you think of the efforts of those who have gone before. The walls are 12 inches thick and are valued because they were made with hand mixed concrete and the construction style is apparent to those with a keen eye.,
Now the space is filled greenery- making the perfect place for quiet get together or catch up with some locals.
Steaks and pizzas are served all day 7 days a week. Just what you need for when you may be needing a meal and it is 4pm, like when you get off that plane or are just out of that meeting. See you soon!
