We enjoyed the food, Sangria, service and value here at Peasant. Tapas with plenty to choose from for the four of us. Beef cheeks and the Gambas were just great. We would come back here.

We went to Peasant after seeing a film at the Palace Barracks, largely because they had a paella special. However, there wasn't a vegetarian option for the paella (only seafood) so we chose other dishes. Tapas enabled us to taste a few different dishes and they were all delicious, especially the peppers. We had wine by the glass. The waiter... More

We are not from brisbane and stumbled on this restaurant after looking for a close one to our hotel. Waiter was next level and the food was brilliant. Ask for a smooth Spanish Tempranillo pictured below. It was deluxe and suggested by our waiter.

Nice location for dinner. Tapas are nice, wine and beer tasty. Didn't realise when we ordered that 3 of 4 dishes we ordered all came with bread. We had ordered bread as a 5th dish which came out first. Bit of an overload. Meatballs could be a little smaller as were a touch dry. We weren't sure if the sardines... More

A great spot that is usually busy and there is a lot of competition in the area , need to take your time and read the menu as there is a lot of choice and interesting choices

Tasty food, pity about the very small portions, sitting of 9 and was served a share desert for 6 and give a lame excuse, overpriced wine close with a $975 bill. Thanks but never again. Good luck !

This restaurant at the old Barracks site is very handy for after match dinner if you've been to the rugby or football at Suncorp Stadium and want a quieter retreat from the bustling bars on Caxton street. I can't fault the decor, ambiance or service, which is very friendly and prompt. There is an outside terrace which might be a... More

Went here for the first time the other night. Average at best. Waiter was friendly but insisted on taking our order & storing it in his memory instead of writing it down which led to dishes being entirely forgotten. When we mentioned the forgotten dishes he asked if we'd like them brought out (we'd finished eating 20 minutes before), but... More

Went with a group of 8 after a rugby game at Suncorp. Luckily we booked ahead as the place was very busy. On arrival (a little early) we were quickly seated at our table and drinks orders were taken. Our waiter had great knowledge of the food and wine and we quickly handed over our dining experience to his capable... More
