This is everything you'd expect from a German/Bavarian beer house but with much different scenery. The restaurant is upstairs at Eagle Street Pier so the view of the Brisbane River and boardwalk adds to the atmosphere. Food is nice enough but the whole experience makes up for the limited menu.

Had lunch with friends and the meals were all out at the same time. Quality was great and the best part is that lowenbrau beer is back! The pork knuckle was stunning and schnitzels are huge.

We went to the Bavarian for a fun, relaxing evening and were certainly not disappointed. They have a great range of cold German beers on tap and a comprehensive menu of genuine Bavarian food and steaks. Schnitzels and sausages are plentiful. All are well prepared and servings are sizeable. If you like pork knuckle, then try it here. If you... More

We stumbled across this place and thought we would give it a go. They have a great selection of German beers (as you would expect) and all sizes, we had steins! We decided to have some food which was ok, nothing to write home about, I would recommend just having drinks here. The service was ok but nothing to shout... More

We have eaten here quite a few times over the years and the food is always great as well as the selection of drinks particularly beers, and the atmosphere is usually good and the staff are attentive but on the last couple of visits it seems as though they need more staff as the few they had working were rushed... We have been there at lunch time. Salad and meat with good selection of beer. Not all the beers were available on that day, like mango beer.

Right from the start the service was Terrible! Had a table booked for 4 and when we sat down they were more interested in gossiping with other staff members then welcoming us. From there we each ordered a meal. I ordered a Steak and as they do they ask how you would like it cooked. I asked for a Medium... More

Delicious beer and pork belly. Fabulous view and very fun atmosphere (not for quiet, intimate evenings perhaps, but great with a group of friends). Recommended.

Would never go there again! Food is not enjoyable, dry and way over valued. No waiter service! Bad. Paying for the view only. Would never recommend.
