Food is terrible. Overly salty dishes, scallops had a TON of sand in them (or the scallops come with the beach?) roasted BBQ platter poorly done.

We wanted to have some delicious Chinese food for dinner and wanted to try this place, unfortunately food tasted off, quail very very dry and smelly. portions of meals very small. We ordered the scallops with vegetables the scallops were raw and vegetable over cooked. No taste or flavour, no customer service, no atmosphere and no going back to this... More

I'm Chinese & from Vancouver. Food & service was below avg at best & overpriced. The wraps on the dumplings way too thick. Had 6 dishes & only 2 of them were average... salt & pepper calamari & the prawn rice rolls. Note that the charge for Chinese tea is $3.50/person which is absurdly high. Guess I'm not at home... The set up of cafe China was neat and as expected. Service from staff was also great, however some of the food was a letdown. Eg, the crispy skin chicken was not crispy. On a positive note, the entree and the fried rice was above standard.

We went here for dinner tonight & can honestly say it'll be the only time. The service is some of the worst Cairns has to offer & the food was very average to below average & expensive. We'll go back to the better restaurant's in Cairns.

Located within the Casino hotel complex, this place offers a Fast and pleasant service. The Chinese food is good with fresh products around seafood and fish of course. Excellent fried rice to go along a yum cha formula! Reasonable pricing, at 25$ per person with a beer you will have a good experience.

Have enjoyed lunch before at Cafe China and have just had a visit back. Really good yum Cha, reasonably priced and great service. The only complaint I would have is that there is not enough chicken choice and too much fried dishes

I found the restaurant very busy and have been meaning to visit for sometime. Food was reasonable, but nothing special. (My local take out prepares a better special fried rice.) Meal size was moderate, but choose other restaurants if you are very hungry and have a big appetite. Food was clean and fresh and enjoyable. It just wasn't anything super... More
