We went for dinner and the food was excellent. An easy walk from the centre of Cairns and it's near Cairns hospital. The duck curry just melted in your mouth. The food didn't disappoint and I would definitely go back when I'm next in Cairns.

Visited for a small birthday lunch on 2/2/18. The service was quick and efficient. The food was OK. I can’t complain. However, the cost was not much less than the rijsttafel only available at dinner and if you go to an Indonesian restaurant without any...More

Ordered the Banquet for 2 @ $55 each(ouch). Starter and soup where divine. Selection of mains consisted of lumps of over cooked meats in different curries that tasted pretty much the same. Vegetables are practically none existent. Dessert was okay but something seriously wrong with...More

Went for a couple of the lunch special menus, very tasty selection of food (sate, curries, rice, veg) and good value for money. $20 or $25 for the set lunch menus.

We came here on our last evening of our Australian trip and it was probably the best restaurant we tried.

Bayleaf Balinese Restaurant has been a well loved and highly regarded restaurant in Cairns for many years, serving authentic Balinese cuisine. This multi award winning restaurant offers a true dining experience. Head Chef Made Upadana was trained in Bali at the highly regarded bumbu bali restaurant and cooking school and worked along side Heinz von Holzen the master chef and respected food writer of the Balinese Cuisine. Our signature banquet menu the Balinese Rijsttafel offers a feast of flavours and is highly recommended.
