Sorry, We couldn't serve your starving people as quick as you wanted. If your family were starving or in hurry emergency and wanted a express service then the best way was asking staff if we can meet your request. If yes then OK , if...More

Very basic inside but the Beef Pho and rice paper rolls were delicious. The service was basic but prompt and professional. The only downside was a minimum $30 on Eftpos with a 3% surcharge. Given the amount of restaurants and competition these days I find...More

Chose the new saigon for a takeaway. The food was of high quality. The only downer was it was low tide on some of the dishes. Would recommend also to dine in though. The atmosphere was placid with dinner's enjoying their night.

Very good food of a mixed variety (Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai). The service was good - efficient and friendly. Only a small café with limited seating, so a very informal environment.

We ordered some Thai and some chinese. It was nice, but too be honest - I have had better. We had asked for super spicy and it was at best mild. The sauces were a bit thin. I really liked the coconut sticky rice (although...More

What you see is what you get at the New Saigon. But this is an honest place that serves authentic food at a very reasonable price. They haven't spent much on decor but who cares when you get food this good. Service is up and...More

Description
This Gold Coast eatery features a range of authentic and well-priced Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese dishes on the extensive menu. Indecisive diners might want to turn their attention to the substantial list of chef's specials. The Chef, Hue Trieu, has worked in the restaurant business since her teenage years. Cooking is true passion for her. She learned and developed her cooking skills from her family's restaurant in Vietnam as well in different Chinese and Thai restaurants in Germany. In 1993 She and her husband set up their first restaurant in Geelong, also named New Saigon and then the second one named Hi Hi restaurant, both were successful. Deeply impressed by Gold Coast's lovely weather and lifestyle, She and her family moved to Gold Coast in 2003 initially for early retirement but only 1 year later she missed the hospitality scene so much, so they decided to open New Saigon Restaurant in Gold Coast in April 2004. Although the position is not really ideal for a restaurant but thanks to the good support of regular local customers as well casual tourists, New Saigon Restaurant has established itself as a good place for authentic Vietnamese and Asian foods on the Coast.
