Townsville needs venues like the Harvey Range Tea Rooms but they need to know how to make a GOOD cup of coffee. Coffee in Townsville is very hit and miss so disappointing a venue with a difference can't make coffee.

Ouch! I am not sure if you brought this to our attention on the day, but it would have been really helpful if you had. We agree consistency is important - we make over 500 cups of coffee a week, so being able to remind certain staff of this (at the time) would also be beneficial. More

We come up here once a month for brunch! The tea rooms are so beautiful and the best steak sanga I've ever had!! Not to mention the homemade scones!! Yum yum yum! Very well priced and great service!! Love the lawn games too!

Amazing drive up to the Tea Rooms. Signed well. Lots of parking. Heaps of shade. Lots of tables to choose from. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Coffee was good. Scones were nice (needed more cream, but anywhere you go, you always need more cream). Service was friendly. Coffees were out quickly but by the time the scones came out we were nearly... More

Thank you for your feedback, we are working on ways to limit the time between serving drinks and scones, particularly if we are busy. Never be afraid to ask for more cream! More

What started out to be a nice Sunday changed when we decided to call in to the Hervey Range Heritage Tea Rooms for coffee and scones. The line waiting for service and placing orders took 20minutes alone. I was told hot drinks and food would be at least 20 minutes fine I thought. Over half an hour passed and finally... More

Sunday certainly was a lovely day and consequently we had an influx of visitors to the tea rooms. We were certainly pushed to our limits with our staff working hard to keep up with over 300 drink orders and just under 200 scones. We continue to work towards minimising the wait times on these particularly busy days; on Sunday as... More

A lovely afternoon jaunt away from the crowds to a place that could be a million miles from anywhere. A lovely pot of tea, scones with jam and cream. It's so easy, the service is great and so is the quality of everything I have ever had. I'll be back, of course.

A pie has a pastry crust top and bottom? Right? Mine had a hard crust on top, no bottom, and the apples definitely came from a can. (Easy to tell). The 'pie' was barely warm. The food in general is less than memorable. We used to bring our visitors to the tea rooms but it's just no longer worth the... More

Hi Dragonrose1, Thanks for your feedback. As per our menu, our Apple Pie is not a traditional version - A slice of home made pastry crust filled with apple (yes from a tin), flavoured with cinnamon and topped with fresh whipped cream. We do not heat them, because they're topped with cream. However, some customers choose to have it served... More

Took wife and daughter up the Tea Rooms on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the surrounds were - sat outside, had a great mid morning lunch with coffee at a very reasonable cost - would highly recommend 😄

My girlfriend and i were invited to the tea rooms by our boss a few weeks ago. We'd never heard of the place before and as we are travelling thought it would be a great idea to see some of the local heritage. We turned up and the place looks great, a transformed old bar in to a quiet place... More

We took the long drive from hidden valley and were desperately in the need of a stop. We saw the tea houses and got some history as well. It is the oldest building in Queensland! Vegetarian breakfast was average. Coffee was strong and delicious. Scenery was beautiful. Worth a visit!

We always love visiting the tea rooms when we are in Townsville. The food and tea is delicious and the setting is so relaxing. The heritage building is lovely and there's a great farm walk to enjoy after your meal.
