The Marron Café is indeed a nice place for lunch in the middle of the island. Our meal, the "Poacher's Platter", was tasty enough with good variety but at a steep price. The grilled Marron's are good, but nothing we hadn't tasted with good ole Louisiana crawdads, It was a pleasant respite after a morning on the beaches at Flinder's... More

we took a chance and visited the Marron Farm and Two Wheeler wines. We were shown how the Marron are kept, all the different sizes and explained all about them, then we had a wine tasting and a tasting of different sauces. After this wonderful experience we went into the restaurant for the most delicious meal. I had never tasted... More

Growing tanks. Fascinated to learn about the whole of process involved in growing and farming these quite amazing creatures. They grow quite large from teeny tiny little critters. But the blue variety really caught our attention. They're double recessive for the colour which kinda makes them like human redheads!! Cafe Sounds awful to say that we then went into their... More

Despite the mixed bag of reviews, we felt we had to try the Marron Cafe for ourselves. Unfortunately, we joined the 'not happy' group. We ordered a bottle of the Two Wheeler Creek San Blanc (best white wine on the island so far, 3 out of 5) and the Poachers Platter for 2. The Smoked barramundi and wasabi dip was... More

The good was lovely...the tour of the farm was great...the local wine was nice too. The setup of the restaurant is missing an opportunity though as it has more of a road side diner feel, rather than a nice dining venue. A good experience...

We arrived at 4 pm, the latest you can order food but staff were still very accommodating and friendly. We went for the seafood and were not disappointed- we had the shared platter and it was excellent, would highly recommend, although the road to it is an unsealed road but so are lots of roads to places on the island.

We both tried the marron salad for lunch and enjoyed this new food experience. The marron was tender and matched with tasty salad ingredients. We also enjoyed some wine with our meal which we had been able to try beforehand. The marron tanks were interesting and we were able to view the rarer blue marron. The cafe is situated on... More

Very ordinary selection of wines. Have to go out of our way to get here as well. Wont miss anything by giving a detour.

A Unique 3 in 1 experience - Not to be missed by locals or visitors!

Come in and sample some of our well-known Two Wheeler Creek wines, whilst having a look around our Marron tanks. A friendly staff member will have a chat to you about the Marron Farm, and answer any questions you may have. We grow Native Australian Lemon and Aniseed Myrtle which we have created some beautiful Bush Tucker sauces out of. All made here in the Cafe.

A bit hungry? - Head on into the Marron Cafe where there a several lavish options with Hot or Cold Marron, as well as other scrumptious meals. Enjoy a glass or bottle of our Two wheeler Creek wine.
