From the moment we arrived, our experience commenced. Happy, smiling and engaging staff who were attentive all afternoon for our long lazy lunch. Nothing was too much trouble and it's so nice to get service with a smile. The food was delicious. We shared the two tasting plates for entree and the mains were all individually tasty and really good... More

Definitely try the taster plate for entree! Nicest and most tender and tasty salt and pepper squid I've tried anywhere. The chowder tasty also. Whole dish just delicious and well presented. The duck still delicious as last time we visited, if a little crowded by other tasty treats on the plate. My husband had the fish and chips, very fresh,... More

We were taken here by a local couple to take advantage of the view and of course because the food has a good reputation. This restaurant did not disappoint. I ordered the Blue Eye and it was spectacular! The accompaniments were delicious and the fish was cooked to perfection. I wanted to lick the plate! My partner had the rump... More

An overall enjoyable evening. Food was very nice, staff friendly and attentive. Lovely place to celebrate an event. Beautiful water views. A well chosen venue to celebrate Christmas.

Get place for a table of friends. It had a great menu with something for everyone. I had the five spice squid for main course. It was a large serve and delicious. The only small issue I had was that it was very noisy and hard to hear conversation across the table, the restaurant was full and had two seating.

Booked a view table and got it. Once seated we received water and enjoyed the view until our fourth arrived. We all ordered starters. My wife enjoyed her Naked Oysters and my Seafood Chowder ordered extra hot was extra great. Our Son enjoyed his Cold Meat platter and his Partner raved about her Mushrooms. We rested before ordering our mains... More

Wonderful river views. Attentive and helpful staff. The menu had a few good gluten free choices which we both need. My wife enjoyed her chowder entrée.My cold sliced meats entrée was pleasant but not exciting. We both had the steak special which was very good. All the food was well presented.

We went as a party of four. Everyone's dishes were delicious and generous - 2 x duck confit, porterhouse steak and squid. Each dish was presented well with fresh, interesting vegetables. The shoestring fries were excellent, as was the garden salad. The restaurant looks out over Cornelian Bay and the Derwent - great location with easy parking. The restaurant happily... More
