I'm staying nearby and stopped for coffee on my stroll into town. My local friends don't love it. But I think they're wrong. It looks cute, my latte was very good, staff were friendly. Exactly what I wanted.

Brilliant cafe that not too many people know about as it is an inner city leafy suburb rather than the touristy city centre.

Friends and myself were lucky enough to get a table here for brunch on a very busy last Saturday (18-3-17) and were not disappointed in any way. Definitely book before coming as this place is buzzing. The food is superb and all of us, including 2 vegetarians were delighted with the quality of the food served, the lovely, friendly, welcoming... More

The Lansdowne Cafe doesn't have any reason to be as good as it is - it's just a little cafe outside the city centre...but it over delivers in every way. We had lunch today and were blown away - my slow roasted lamb melted in my mouth, our kids had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and my wife had... More

Stayed at an Air B and B property in the local area and stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe. We had a breakfast of their Corn Fritters and Corn Bread French Toast and were delighted with the quality of the food. Tasted amazing and the staff were super friendly and helpful to complement this. Well priced and would... More

Staying at the nearby Bay View Villas, we were amazed every morning as this cafe seems to be packed - always a good sign. So finally we paid a visit. Parking was not that easy, but we found a park a block away in a side street. We scored a nice seat in the corner and the ambience was just... More

Such a great local cafe. The coffee is always hot, which I am fussy with. Lovely menu, can customise well too and the potato rosti is one of the best I've tasted. You'll need to book, I do each time I go. Only downside is it can get a little noisy, but that's expected with a smaller cafe.

Excuse my bad Neil Diamond pun. I was staying across the road from this cafe on a recent visit to Hobart so it was convenient place to get breakfast. Went here twice during my stay for breakfast. I had their house made Granola both times with milk and yoghurt and it was delicious. They topped it off with shredded apple... More

Always go back to the Lansdowne for coffee as nowhere else makes it quite as good as they do. Their selection of sweets are always a good choice as well.
