Had frankies as my regular coffee shop for a while as we worked very close. Couldn't fault the coffee or the venue. Had breakfast a couple of times and couldn't fault it. Only down point I would say is the staff. Not overly friendly or welcoming.

I went here for an afternoon coffee and stayed for a much longer time. Their raw ginger and molasses cake is a strong contender for the best cake I've ever eaten. Nice and friendly staff and very pleasant conversation

We dropped in here as a recommendation because we were told it was good value for money...sorry...they saw us coming! Anything but value for what we ordered. Maybe they have a different price list for 'out of towners' than locals, but we didn't get any of the ambiance & service we read about & went there especially for- and then... More

It's places like this that make me proud to be a Hobartian. Food is fantastic, lots of options for vegetarians and vegans. I can't comment on the coffee but they have a great selection of tea and smoothies which are extremely tasty. If you visit at midday during the week you may be lucky enough to encounter Bill Longo on... More

Great, relaxed little coffee shop. Coffee was excellent but the cakes were a standout. We had the ginger and molasses one and a Russian apple and blueberry one. Both slices were fresh, moist, decent sized and served with freshly whipped cream. Absolutely delicious.

Chilli beans with baked eggs, lovely fresh juices and good loose leaf tea makes this a great place for breakfast - all for around $30 for two. Didn't need lunch

Great lunch at a groovy coffee shop. There was a jazz duo on piano and double bass. The food and coffee were great but the entertainment was just fabulous. I wished I could stay for the afternoon.

Good coffee and teas with a healthy lunch selection. Has a fun, quirky vibe and the lunch we had was fresh, making us feel quite healthy afterwards! Great place to go if you also happen to vote for the Greens party as it definitely gave off that hippy/artistic vibe..

Love this place. It's so rare and so nice to find a cafe where the owners seem part of a strong community and know how to create a comfortable and welcoming space. The ginger/molasses cake was surprisingly moist, light and amazingly delicious. Buckwheat crepes with mushrooms also very nice. I've had both coffee and tea here. Really enjoyed the coffee... More
