We have been visiting Annapurna Salamanca for many years and it remains head and shoulders above other Indian restaurants in the area. We go there for the superb food. The comfortable surrounding and good service are a bonus. Really surprised that it has been so good for so long. We always got a high quality, original, delicious Indian food for... More

Been to Indian restaurants in many continents and being an Indian myself I am qualified to say there is nothing Indian about this place. You can never have a Beef dish and call it Indian. The place survives on confused cruise ship passengers and uni students. I guess this is either Thai or some Indonesian outfit. I would recommend a... More

Been to quite a few Indian restaurants in Australia, though it's agreed that the food in these restaurants would not be the same as authentic Indian cuisine.. they do come close. But,this has been the worst experience in terms of taste. We had Bombay fried prawns.. which was ok. But the kadai chicken, rice served with it and the vegetable... More

Went here last night with friends & Family. Took nearly 4 hours for the meal to come out!!! Food wasn't anything to rave about either! When we complained they offered no apology or discount! They told us it was our fault for not ordering the banquet as this would have come quicker! Poor customer service! Will NOT be back or... More

I have been in and out of annapurna over the years as I am a hobart resident, and honestly out of all the chances I've given them all I have gotten was food poisoning. Honestly Ganja's, a small indian restaurant in the Woolworths complex serves much better food with much friendlier service.

Having been on a cruise at Bruny Island we returned to Hobart tired and very hungry. We visited here on our first night and loved it. Tonight was sublime. The chef's special scallop curry was sensational.
