Bar is nice enough but there was one incredibly rude staff member that ruined it. Won’t be returning because of that particular staff member.

On this trip we came here for a few beers after going out to dinner elsewhere. The place was warm and cosy and the beers cold and refreshing. We have eaten here previously and the food was what I would describe as good pub food....More

Last night in Melbourne and just looking for meal with local friends. Name and billboard just grabbed us, none of locals knew of the place. No other customers (bit of a worry), but the barman/waiter was a charmer, made us right at home. Good selection...More

Great place to relax after work with a good selection of beers including Guinness and Kilkenny as well as Australian brews. Quaint surroundings with welcoming bar staff and patrons.

Great old English Pub feel about the place. Not to big so not to noisy. Named rooms were a clever touch. Mrs Hudson’s Pantry and the Dr Watson Bar. What better place to get my Guinness fix.

Some great drops of English beer, service was also very friendly. Food pretty average & a lot of listed beers not on sadly, but still worth a stop for some brews.

with friendly staff. Plenty of popular imports plus the sensational Hopgoblin Ruby (Oxford). Menu also filled with traditional English dishes which were appealing and well presented. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
