We stopped in for an ice cream sundae as they looked fabulous in the poster. It was incredibly sweet and fairly sickly which is what you might expect from a good sundae. The down side was there wasn't much ice cream in it which was a disappointment it was mainly cream and brownie pieces. I don't think I would have... More

I took a white chocolate raspberry for 11 AUD in Lindt shop. Presentation was nice. Raspberry layers were hard and sticky to the teeth, tasted decent. The bottom praline was soft and spongious. The white chocolate was greasy, too sweet and no taste . I did not finish the cake. Disappointing.

My kids like hot chocolate and have tried Max Brenner, Guylian and Lindt. Of the 3 they like Lindt the best. Although Lindt is the priciest at $7 the serving is also larger and enough for 2 cups. The ice chocolate was also very rich, but a bit too sweet.

We stopped in at the Lindt Cafe for a Mocha and a Flat white and sat in the seating outside the cafe and watched the world go by as we enjoyed them. The coffees were great and the staff are friendly and interactive.

We had afternoon tea here & didn't want to leave. While the decor is modern it was very inviting. My husband & I shared a sweet but had to have another one. They are by no means cheap but they are made from good quality chocolate & tasted great. We will add this to our list of go to places.

If you need a break from shopping or just want to get out of the cold Melbourne weather...actually, you don't really need an excuse to visit the Lindt Cafe!! Just go there and try to decide what to taste first!! Enjoy.

I know the main reason why you would go to this place is to indulge yourself with the sweet, sweet flavour of chocolate. But, Lindt is a brand that should give you a lot more than just a table (half clean) for you to enjoy your dessert. We all had the Lindt "Dome of Decadence", which as you probably might... More

I had the hot chocolate drink. It was a big beaker of frothy hot milk and had a separate container of melted chocolate of my choice (milk or dark). I mixed my own beverage, but could not drink it all. Delicious. The cafe was bright and shiny and the huge variety of chocolate bars and truffles in display was very... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
