Great place to drop in during visit to CBD to take a break. Retail sales of chocolates plus sit down drinks and cake in a relaxing area

+ the café interior is ok, quite unique + the service is nice - the quality is not good and in our chocolate mousse cake was a hair - the chocolate shake was white chocolate but in the menu is was not mentioned "white chocolate - the chai latte was not tasty - for that quality was it very expensive

My mum and I stopped in here for a coffee and a quick bite to eat. Mum's coffee were perfect (mum's a little fussy), the mushroom quiche was delicious but the stand out for me was the hazelnut hot chocolate. Both wait staff recommended it and it did not disappoint. I'll definitely have another one next time I'm in the... More

Deluxe cake serviced with friendly altitudes. Smoking area outside facing the street. A good place to have a rest when finished shopping.

Every time I visit Melbourne I never miss this place for a hot chocolate. Nothing should taste that good.

This is like a chocolate lovers heaven. Great coffee - had a cappuccino that was topped with real chocolate. Service was great and friendly. Coffee came with complimentary biscuit which is always a winner.

Absolutely amazing hot chocolate the best I have ever had! Which says a lot as I am extremely fussy and a huge chocoholic. We were staying across the road at the novotel so I came in every day for my fix. They have lovely individual chocolates and deserts. Highly recommend this place. Lovely friendly staff I only wish they were... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
