I have friends who love these pies. I like the fluffy crust n the tasty filling but find the base a little too hard. Try to anyway. It makes for nice breakfast or a little afternoon treat. The chunky beef is good.

On my trip to melbourne i came across pie face who make the freshiest tastiest sausage rolls. $5 for a large maxxi with garlic n tomatoe. Lush! Customer service is always great every time ive gone. They are open early till late most days. I will miss them when i go bk to england.

The moment I told someone I was heading to Australia, the first thing they told me was to order a meat pie. This seems to be the place. Both of my little girls loved it and our favorite was the Shepard's Pie. About $5 a Pie (about the size of a normal slice) it was reasonable.

I expected more from their pies, they are more expensive than good, but I think it is a must try in melbourne because it is one of the typicall foods.

One pie won't be enough. They taste great and supply appropriate sauce, napkins, seating and cutlery. Quick service fast food chain.

Love their bread with bacon, cheese and tomato. Better to have the bread toasted in their oven. Very reasonable priced set meal with a choice of beverage thrown in. Just a stone throw away from City Edge on Elizabeth Hotel Apartment.

Really good pie. Good coffee. I would suggest stopping in for a quick meal or a snack. Fast friendly service.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
