My husband wanted to take me out for a special dinner to [what used to be] our favourite restaurant on Chapel Street. We only wanted something light, so we ordered the Tuscan Lamb pizza. Oh. My. God. The pizza was oily, the base was tough and...worst of all...the lamb was rotten! I nearly vomited! I also ordered a side of... More

Centrally located in the busy Chapel street area of Toorak and South Yarra. The open plan venue makes it a great spot to sit and people watch on a sunny day. Sadly the poor service and high prices don't match. We visited at about 11 am on a Sunday for a mid morning coffee. The coffee and juice took 25... More

This is a great place to watch the world go by and a good spot for exotic car spotting and the food is good especially the Thai Beef Salad and the house made gnocchi

With all the great restaurants in South Yarra, I have trouble comprehending why this place can draw such a crowd. The food is overpriced and average quality (pizza okay, Parma overpriced, scrambled eggs foul), the service is consistently hit and miss and overall it is completely sub standard.

The friendly and helpful staff are a highlight here, but it was the refreshing mist fir the dinners on the street that drew us in! The engaging and professional stag made up for kinda small portions, that is until dessert - amazing Nutella Calzone.

Food was delicious, but the service was terrible. Drinks took 20 mins to arrive, after 45 mins of ordering our starter halloumi, they told us that it was over so that we needed to order a new one. Then I ordered mushroom risotto and I got chicken Risotto- at that time I was too tires and hungry to change it.... More

Visiting Melbourne and ended up at the Cafe Sienna Ristorante in South Yarra just off Chapel Street for breakfast. Plenty of indoor / outdoor seating - after a friendly welcome coffee orders were soon being taken. Great coffees soon arrived - followed soon after by breakfast orders being taken. A good range of breakfast food available. Went for the Brekkie... More

A bit slow to start with - been sitting and waiting for bit of attention from servers but eventually they noticed us in almost empty dining room ;) Once we managed to order everything moved on. Even the chicken Parma took little bit longer to arrive, it was worth waiting as it was just perfect. Good food.

Staying in Chapel Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Chapel Street
Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.
