It's was out last night in Melbourne and had been told to bar hop through out the city and Pony Fish Island is where we finished up. Honestly if we had found this place earlier we would have happily stayed longer and missed other bars. The atmosphere is awesome, music was great, drinks were cheaper then any other place we... Visited for late breakfast- no coffee, very limited menu. Wait staff not very friendly, and slow to clean their tables. Smashed Avo burger had sour avocado. Toasty was nice. Nachos were awful- cheese not melted, and beans luke warm. now 5 hrs later still feeling sick from them. Give it the skip...

Loved that you are on the river... it can get a bit breezy but on a hot summers arvo just what you need ... there's no better place for a cleansing ale to finish of the week or to start an adventure filled weekend .. we only had drinks so cant really comment on food availability or what was on... We visited on Sunday afternoon. The venue was closed when we arrived so visited another bar and waited for them to open. Nice relaxed atmosphere with great scenery. Would highly recommend a visit.

A friend recommended this place so went in for some drinks on a Friday night. Busy & good atmosphere. Drinks normal Melbourne price. Excellent view overlooking the Yarra & surrounding area.

We had a wonderful hour at Ponyfish under the Millenium Bridge on the Yarra River. Casual, but in a perfect spot. Great cocktails without being over priced. The bar is small so get there reasonably early.

This is a great little spot for early evening drinks. Set under the pedestrian bridge in the centre of Melbourne you can choose a sunny/shaded seat and enjoy views up/down the Yarra.

Fabulous venue! Stopped on our way home from the tennis for a Heineken Beer and Pino Grigot. Super spot! Filled with people of varying ages and accents. Head down the stairs find a table and soak up some afternoon sun and enjoy the passing people on the board walk and boats on the the water. It's a very pleasant venue... More

For many years I have passed this little island under the bridge on the yarra river in Melbourne. It always seemed busy and full of vibrancy. Finally went there on Saturday with some family and friends. This is a quirky little bar where you can watch the world and boats and canoes and kayaks go by. Nothing on tap here.... More
