The food was good but maybe a little over-priced for portion size and considering there isn't table service.

Spent a mint to have my team party here and what a waste. Over 2k on the BBQ option (for about 30 people) and it was amateur. We had an open tab and it was like pulling teeth. Bar staff need a lesson on customer service. Don't waste your money, just for the view, which is all they can boast... More

Went for dinner with friends. The meals were quite small for mains sizes. My husband had the fish and chips. I reckon 2 white bait would have been larger. Burgers average size. The super salads with chicken were super small sizes and there was hardly any chicken. This venue used to be packed but a change in menu and meal... More

Had breakfast here with girlfriends before hitting the shops. The atmosphere was very nice & the warmth from the fire was perfect. I had the chia pudding with fresh & snap frozen fruit & berries. Very nice. Others had the smashed avocado with a poached egg. Possibly too much avocado. Coffee could have been a tad hotter. Presentation of the... More

Stopped here for lunch. Other people's meals inspired me to get the burger chips and a drink for lunch. At $25 I wouldn't do it everyday but it was a great Friday treat. Burger was very good, chips were as expected. My friends food did get attacked by a cheeky and obviously hungry bird inside the restaurant. I consider this... More

Hi Rod102au, Thank you so much for the kind words I am pleased you enjoyed your burger. We do discourage birds from entering our venue and we do our best to clear tables as soon as possible as to not encourage them to hang around for food. I will be sure to raise this with management and make sure this... More

The south wharf in Melbourne is little used which is surprising as it is something of an oasis in a busy city. Relatively quiet for Sunday lunch on a fine spring day. Surprising. Service best described as lacklustre. Not exactly slow but not with the usual spring in the step we have come to expect in Melbourne. Food fine but... More

I was fortunate enough to visit the Boatbuilder's Yard on a Friday afternoon after work. The sun was out, the people were relaxed and the atmosphere was superb. What beautiful place to enjoy a sundowner or two!

This bar / venue is right outside the conference centre in Melbourne and looked like a great place to unwind after a day of concentration. There are a number of these bars but the Boathouse had plenty of outside seating and tables with shade. The venue is right near a fully rugged boat and is joined by ramps to the... More

Met here for an after work dinner with colleagues. In hindsight we should have picked a different place as there isn't much in the way for food for a night out. i.e. It is really only cafe food. Not a large menu, no steak or other type of food. Fish and chips or a chicken burger are the largest meal.... More

This cafe is right on the river - quite a surprisingly quiet spot (well on a Monday at 10am) - good to people watch while you enjoy a great breakfast and coffee (I believe its open for breakfast, lunch and dinner) - it is a full bar as well so good for after function drinks.
