If you love Mexican you'll love this place. And if you love Tequila, well then I guess you'll be in Heaven. The food is delicious. But the real x-factor here is the staff. Super kind, helpful, insightful - you know you're about to have a great time when the hosts shows a level of enthusiasm, knowledge and pride in his... More

In a group of 14 we had no input into the fixed menu selected by the boss and were blown away by the freshness of authentic mexican food from perfect guacamole and frijoles dips with hand made corn chips to tequila fried chicken and melting beef off the bone ribs. Had no idea of the prices of the food and... More

Personally not being a huge fan of Mexican food I was skeptical upon entering Touché Hombres. The place looked cool, and the staff was suuuuper friendly and happy to explain all the food and drinks on the menu. We settled on three servings of tacos (fish, chicken and beef). The fish taco was so wet it actually made a hole... More

Attended on a Saturday arvo between lunch and dinner with a dozen other hungry a.d thirsty fellows. Our choice of what to eat was made easier by our host manager who laid out a spread of varied a delicious mexican food that satisfied everyone. Can't say enough about the quality and originality of the food and fairly priced too. There... More

I went there with my boyfriend! He's a chef and I am a waitress, so we are really patient and understandable costumer! The service was terrible, from the beginning, that blonde lady made us feel really akward and uncomfortable! The drink was honestly terrible! I love alcohol and cocktail, and at 20$ the cocktail, I would never waste a sip,... More

A fantastic Mexican restaurant that cannot be missed. Whether you like Tequila, Mexican food or the mexican vibe you will get everything here. with a very casual mexican menu and style of service mixed with creative mexican inspired cocktails it was a great experience. Considering they serve food really late is the "icing on the cake", I could eaily spend... More

We dined at Touche Hombre tonight. Great atmosphere (including nice retro music from the '80's) and very reasonable prices. The food was full of zingy, Mexican flavours (fresh, smoky and zesty, accentuated by a range of sauces on the table - chipotle, jabonero and jalapeño). We are fans of flavorsome, freshly prepared food and will be back. We sat at... More

My husband and I accidentally came across this restaurant when I got us lost looking for something else...lucky. We both enjoy Mexican and both big eaters. The menu had plenty to choose from and the corn cob is to die for, so was the agave chicken. We ate far too much and enjoyed the service and atmosphere so much, we... More

Went for dinner and although it was quite busy we managed to find a perch at the bar. Ordered a range of dishes and was very pleased with all of them. Fresh and innovative take on some Mexican favorites.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
