I went here with a friend as there as always long queues and we thought it must be good. We got boiled pork dumplings which we both didn't like and ended up leaving them. I got shanghai fried noodles with pork which was tasty and my friend got a beef noodle soup which he really enjoyed. The staff were nice... More

It was packed when we arrived, you could just tell everyone there was enjoying themselves. It was very loud and a bit crowded but the food was fantastic. Because it was about 8.30 they had sold out of one of the items we chose, but offered an alternative.

The dumplings are one of the best around here and are at a reasonable price. However, we got there quite late, around 8.30 and there was no xiao long Bao which was a shame given it is their specialty dish.

Discovered this by accident and it's a fabulous spot. Good food, very delicate flavours. The queue moves fast. Prices are great value.

This place is well worth the visit and please don't panic that you will most likely have to line up because they have the process down pat. You order whilst waiting so all there is left to do when you get a table is sit down and be amazed. Plus the wait is never that long. People eat here for... More

Came here with my friend because we were looking for food that resembles something of home. This restaurant definitely does it. Considered more of a greasy-spoon than fine dining, you'll get fantastic food at a great price. Although, you'll have to get the jugs of water yourself and don't expect a smile from the waiters and waitresses. Oh, and expect... More

We didn't wait in the que for too long. The place is small but the service was reasonably good. The food in particular the dumplings were absolutely delicious and very cheap. Amazing value for money and we will certainly go back there. I highly recommend it!

There is always a queue outside this restaurant but your time there isn't wasted. You are handed a menu, paper and pen and place your order before you get inside the door so that your food is waiting by the time you get your table. However, the best thing about this place is definitely the food which is excellent .... More

The food is OK, but the staff is rude and unfriendly. We ordered a chicken-noodles and they served us noodles and chicken with chili. It was not what I expected because on the menu it said nothing about the chili and the spiciness of the food. They should inform the clients and this kind of things should be written clearly... Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
