Beware of birthday scam! Wasted my whole birthday lunch hour. Their website promoted a so called 'free meal' on your birthday. Terms and conditions only say free meal upon signup but upon collecting it in person they will they reject it and claim you must invite one other person to eat with you first. You should be reported to Consumer... More

I only discovered this cafe recently despite working within a close proximity for the past 4 years. It shows that they could benefit from a bit of local advertising but saying that, this cafe gets very busy during lunch hour. The meals range from $10 to $19, portion sizes are generous and the food is tasty. Even the foccacias ($10)... More

I used to come here once a month for breakfast with my prayer group, that is until to became a little too difficult for some of my friends who found the early morning meetup too early for them. However it is a great little cafe with friendly staff and a pretty decent menu. I reckon I've tried at least one... More

Service is so slow. Good food. When it finally arrives. Not a place for a short lunch. Prices are fair for quality of food.

A great alternative to eating in my nearby hotel (intercontinental). Good value breakfast of scrambled eggs, spinach and avo on whole grain toast and flat white coffee for about $17, compared to $36 at the hotel. The portion size was enormous and I struggled to finish it - although I did as it was so yummy but I expect I... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
