Whenever we are in the City we always lunch at Supernormal. Why ? The staff are friendly and polite, the food is always delicious and the cost is very affordable. With such a choice of restaurants in Melbourne Supernormal is just outstanding.

Love Supernormal and the canteen takes the cake for a brilliant late lunch. Fabulous choices, various sizes - flavours and opportunities for tastes. Loved the Yamato right liver and whiting, calamari and roasted mushroom noodles. Staff always professional and friendly. Black Asahai beer ✅

I’m usually wary of places that style themselves ‘Asian-fusion’, because Asian cultures and cuisines are so varied, it’s almost impossible to make it work. Supernormal does a surprisingly good job of the food, and it’s a fun venue too. The restaurant’s concept is ‘shared’: guests...More

Celebrated my birthday here with three other food loving humans. I loved the food and service here and would definitely come back. Staff were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating with requests. Everything I ate, was amazing! Especially from the dessert menu: ‘Poached soft meringue, sheep’s...More

We had been planning to eat here for some time but were always pressed for time (and it always looks busy). On this occasion, my daughter and I had lots of time to spare and walked in for lunch just before 12 without a reservation...More

Supernormal! Went with a work buddy for a drink and some dumplings a few days ago. Food was tasty and classic cocktails were good and made properly. Not recommended if you are price conscious however I think you'd look at the menu before you go...More

I enjoyed lunch at Supernormal but did feel like I was in a cafe. The food is fantastic and the staff helped with selection. The only problem we encountered is follow up. The staff were friendly but once the orders were taken and delivered we...More

Great fusion restaurant. Attentive staff. We forgot to tell our waiter about a food allergy until the dish came out. They made some extra chicken and shrimp dumplings and were super kind about it. The lamb brisket was delicious as well as the fried chicken....More

Enjoyed lunch here, seated quickly at bar. Impeccable service, food quick to come. Not many vego options but was very happy with beetroot/radicchio salad & veg dumplings. Would definitely go again.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Did not see any. Would doubt it as very much a late night place.

I don't know if you could book; I got a bar table w/o waiting. Having been there it's not a place that's worth waiting for.

I have been on both a Saturday and Sunday evening - not super quiet but definitely not what I would call noisy :) Then again, I am one of five children, so maybe my noise threshold is a little bit too high! :P
