I am a regular at Scopri - family dinners, romantic rendezvous, boozy mates lunches - and they cater for them all. And we are happy to say "you feed us with whats good" and we have always been happy with the outcome. I guess over...More
Scopri has been around for many years, so I don't know why it took me so long as a resident of Melbourne to make a visit. In short, it's an outstanding experience. Brilliant rib eye steak and an excellent duck ragu on pasta were my...More
My wife and I had dinner here at Scopri and it was excellent......Straightforward excellent food prepared simply with equally excellent tasting results. Service was A++, food was A+, wine was simple but very very good. We highly recommend Scopri - we will eat here again...More

Great Friday family lunch. Buzzing place, excellent service, wonderful food. Really good at accommodating a picky 4 year old and a vegetarian in our group. The entrees were varied and delicious, the range of mains is excellent, and the desserts worth leaving room for. An...More

We booked a table at this restaurant following a recommendation. It was a good job we booked as the restaurant was busy with no spare tables. The interior is subdued and minimalist. The menu is varied with something for all diners. The charcuterie as an...More
Fitzroy is an unusual blend of working class roots, hip gentrification, and a robust bohemian work ethic. Along Brunswick Street and its side streets, you'll find little independent shops where local clothes and furniture designers display their wares. There are specialist bookshops, funky record bars, and quality vintage clothing shops where browsing is the next best thing to buying. Gertrude Street is famous for its
cuisine and art galleries, but if you want to buy an old-fashioned snooker table, there is a shop for that too. Small pubs still exist, tucked away on the corners of suburban side streets that serve up traditional Sunday roasts. Live music abounds, and the street performers play so hard you worry to tip them would ruin their concentration. Venture to the Spanish quarter on Johnston Street and you may even find street dancing. It is all happening amidst off-beat street murals and the shuffle of a very funky neighbourhood that embraces both old and new.
