My fiancé and I went out for a fabulous 8 course degustation to this elegant little restaurant called EIS, my partner paid $95 and I had the extra $135 degustation with wine pairings and the food portions are most certainly worth it. My partner and I are chefs and I have to say it's hard not to pick on a... More

I loved the restaurant - great service and food and not over the top price. The internals are very white and clinical. A little bit of colour and mood lighting would add substantially to the ambience.

Unpretentious, inexpensive and honest. My son wanted sushi and I found a good to the best sushi in Melbourne, here. My beef was exceptional and the sushi was wonderfully fresh. Smiles all around.

The staff are lovely but the menu is very austalianised and no where as good as the Japanese restaurant up the road. We had a chicken and duck dish that was quite expensive and came with roast potatoes and beans - meat and three veg

A small unobtrusive restaurant that belies it's hidden qualities. My partner and I were here last Tuesday and were very impressed with the freshness of the ingredients used - obviously a lot of care and attention to detail goes on here. Try the chicken lunchbox - great value and that lovely Japanese flavour. Also a surprisingly excellent wine list so... More

Such a pleasant experience. Very good service and all starters/entrees were so tasty. Great wine list as well. Desserts were delightful too. Would definitely go back. Very relaxing atmosphere.

How good can Japanese food be? At best, good, fresh food, competently cooked — the Japs have always put a premium, rightly so, on freshness. Check the astronomical prices for example of fresh tuna on the Tokyo fish market. But is freshness a triumph of cuisine, or the delivery system? What Japanese sauces are world famous, compared for instance with... More

We have visited this quiet restaurant in the heart of Albert Park regularly over the past three years and I feel compelled to compliment the owner in running such a consistently good establishment. The food is fresh and mouth-wateringly delicious. The bento box is a lunchtime favourite and well priced. The entrees are all interesting and the last time I... More

Lunched here with 8 friends. All but 1 of us had the Bento Box. The fillings were megre and just satisfactory. 2 small pieces of sashimi salmon and the same with the tuna. 4 pieces of Chicken Katsu, small salad and a goyza that was more like a wonton. Disappointing.

Thank Virginia J
