No frills Chinese. Tucked down the delightfully named Celestial Avenue, Supper Inn serve a great range of Chinese fare. I can't ever recall a bad dish here in about seven visits. I can't ever recall a spectacularly good one either. The food is just very...More

Love what these guys do. No frills, no fuss and they traffick people in and out with military precision at all hours of the night. And people wait! Patiently! On the stairs! On the street! They wait because the food is great and the service...More

Supper Inn has been there for years and is a Melbourne institution. The food is dependably good every time we go. Delicious roast duck, chili flounder and suckling pig in particular, but you won't be disappointed with anything. The place had a face-lift a couple...More

We spontaneously chose this place because my friend had last eaten there 20 years ago. She said it was no different, except there was a new waiter. If you want traditional, classic, noisy, cheerful food, this is the place.

Supper Inn is tucked away in a quiet alley off Little Bourke Street. The food is good, but I wouldn't order the suckling pig. The skin was far too hard to be crispy, and there was hardly any meat on the dish (mostly fat).

This restaurant is always busy. Even on a Monday night. The meals are consistently great. The staff are attentive. The decor has improved over the years, but if you are looking for a flashy restaurant and furniture this is not for you. The meals are...More

Entering the dark dingy alley and then finding the run down building I was thinking what the hell are we in for. The food was absolutely fantastic, food is out within about 10 minutes of ordering. They could improve on their drink service. Reservations are...More

Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place
to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place
simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude

Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes
such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your
money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving
