Very disappointing. Was gifted a $250 dinner voucher and decided to use it to take my parents for dinner to celebrate their new visa and time owner status in Australia. After much research decided on this restaurant, even though we’d never heard of it (we...More

Having had an uncharacteristically and surprising poor experience here earlier, the management of Syracuse responded to my review. My wife and I went back to Syracuse in the hope that this latest experience would restore our faith in this usually excellent restaurant - it did!...More

Great food, relaxed atmosphere, charming, skilled, knowledgeable staff and decor which is reminiscent of a 1930s Europe. A restaurant with both wonderful food and charming decor is a real treat. My family enjoyed Syracuse immensly and just wish we were Melbournians so we could dine...More

Located between Collins Street and Little Collins Street near Williams Street this beautiful building which used to be a bank houses a nice restaurant for that special night out. Polished boards, high ceilings with a central chandelier provide an excellent backdrop for this restaurant which...More

We had a great lunch at Syracuse today. Entree was a shared charcuterie board which was perfect, a broad mix of flavours. Main was Seared Salmon with beans. Delicious and the salmon was perfectly cooked. Service was very attentive.

On a weekend stay in the city we booked this superb restaurant as it was near our hotel. We did not know what to expect. The old bank building has retained its antique feel and the decor was suitably fine for this grand lady. The...More

This is a roomy and classy eating place. The food is well cooked and well presented. In the last few years, the kitchen and table staff were extra friendly and helpful but the recent service has lacked the personal touch.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
