We dashed across the road in the rain to get a sugar fix... The 3 of us ordered one scoop each: dark chocolate, lemon and pistachio. All were fabulous... The service was great and we were allowed a little taste before choosing.

The ice cream was delicious, loved every flavour we tried. It's nice that they have so many unorthodox flavours - makes a nice change. Service was poor, though. All the staff, when we went, at least, were grumpy and barely said anything. A couple of...More

An unusually hot day in Melbourne had people lining out the door for a gelato- Pidapipò is the new gelato kid on the Lygon street block. Considering that the gelato isn't even on display- there's a reason people keep lining up- the gelato is delicious....More

Went here for dessert after pizza round the corner. Had to queue but it was worth it. Try the pistachio or passion fruit. Such great flavor and lovely creamy consistency.

A quaint little photogenic shop tucked into the heart of the cosy Italian Lygon Street serving reasonably priced, healthy portions of gelato made in-house; what more could you ask for? Flavours are seasonal, so there's always something new to excite the senses.

In one line "They are simply outstanding at everything they serve" Our personal favorites were Salted Caramel, White Chocolate with Mint, Chocolate and Pistachio. Pistachio was quite nicely nutty and rightly sweet. Chocolate was perfectly dark and creamy. White Chocolate, thankfully, wasn't too sweet and...More

If you're in the area, this is a MUST stop. Whatever restaurant you eat at, leave dessert off your plate and get a VERY tasty gelato. You won't be sorry.

The subject line says it all and there is not much more to say… amazing, the guy had so much personality, it became an experience for me not just an ice cream purchase.....

We were recommended to try Pidapipo Gelateria. We arrived with our friends, our friends were greeted with a staff member who welcomed them and offered them a taste sample. Our staff member must of gotten out of the wrong side of the bed! Was not...More

Really amazing gelato. 5/5, would definitely return again. I had the Nutella swirl and the banana milk, both were stellar.

Lygon Street
If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated
over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the
place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to
the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who
started their day with a local espresso. They are
gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this
Little Italy which has something for everyone.

Take tram 1 or 8 to Carlton. Or take the tram to Melbourne Uni and walk up to Lygon St.
