Went for a meal on Saturday night and everything was spectacular. The food was fantastic and the wine was well matched - let them guide you, they know what they are talking about.

Quintessential Melbourne semi basement restaurant down a laneway with minimal signage. But worth the effort to find this delicious array of Asian inspired dishes. The betel leaves were divine. We had both the lobster and the prawn versions which were so different and each delicious....More

Food sensational, amazing service and ambience terrific. We have wanted to eat at Coda for some time and finally got there last night. We enjoyed a few small starters and some larger meals all of which were sensational and full of flavour. Crispy prawn, calamari...More

I am simply in love with this restaurant, not much else to say. The food combinations are explosions of flavours (at least most of them) and the atmosphere is beautiful even if the music is too loud in some parts of the restaurants. The Vietnamese-Modern...More

We booked this restaurant six months before going there. I had initially booked Brae but then we then found out that it was about 100km out of town whereas this place is very central. We arrived at the restaurant on time but the guys took...More

The Food here is amazing! Everything was mind-blowingly good. Reservations are a must - we waited 40 mins without a reservation and I think that was only because the staff took pity on us and let us wait. They started turning people away -- so...More

I would put Coda up there with the food at Vue De Monde and Lume restaurant. You enter via a lane way and downstairs into a dimly lit beautifully designed restaurant which you can look up and see people walking along Flinders Lane. The menu...More

My wife and I found our selves at Coda for a night out. We were blown away by the fantastic flavours of all the meals we ordered. The atmosphere was great, even on a Monday night. And the table service could not be faulted. All...More

We loved our sneaky little lunch at Coda. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and they fit us straight in. We had the clams, oysters, pommes fritz and vegetable curry. Everything was really delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Definitely worth a visit!

This place came highly recommended by a colleague and he was not wrong. We had the most insanely delicious meal with the most amazing service ever. The waitress picked up immediately that we were fishes out of water. Colleagues/clients who didn’t know each other that...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Trendy. It's a smart place but casual. Not dressy but trendy. Some of this will depend on your age. I went with my two sons 37 and 40. I wore a jacket with jeans but then I'm a little older. Not sure if this helps at all... More

I had no problem with the way the food looked, so a photo wouldn't help. It was very well presented. It was the way the flavours worked ... or more disappointingly, didn't. But then again, I am often disappointed by... More

Upon opening our doors in 2009, we were thrilled to receive the The Age Good Food Guide's 'HatAward' and have maintained it ever since. Complementing these achievements, we are very proud of Head Sommelier, Travis Howe, who not only won Sommelier of the Year but also picked up the 2013 Wine List of the Year. Nestled in one of Melbourne's iconic laneways (basement Oliver Lane, and Flinders Lane), Coda is located in the busiest and most dynamic culinary precinct the city has to offer. A stone's throw away from the Yarra River, Flinders Street station and Federation Square, the restaurant enjoys hosting a diverse group of diners from frequenting locals who live and work on its doorstep to diners from all over the globe. Upon entering the restaurant you will be greeted by a member of our friendly team headed by Mykal and Kate Bartholomew and Executive Chef Adam D'Sylva. The trio has assembled a dedicated team with highly sought-after experience from many international and Melbourne-based restaurants. Coda's relaxed environment provides a versatile setting for a range of engagements. Whatever your occasion - from a quick pre-football meal, to a long Sunday lunch, business dining or a cosy seat for an anniversary - we look forward to your visit. While bookings are highly recommended, patrons without a reservation can enjoy the full menu at the bar.
