Obviously this was a must do for a foodie and his friends in Melbourne. We booked the place well in advance and were pretty happy to go and see what the fuss was all about. I ended up having mixed feelings. Some of the things about this place make it memorable and others make it meh. I left happy, don't... More

To say it's overpriced would be a serious understatement given that one of their main selling points throughout the evening was that everything comes from the tiny garden out the back or a farmer down the road, so not sure why I needed to pay $400 for it. But anyway, the service was exceptional, the explanation of all the food... More

Heard about Attica for many years, my fiends have gone there a few times. I certainly have high hopes on this, esp with the recommendations from friends who really love their food. We have 21 dishes with seafood, fresh leaves from the garden with special sauce, kangaroos (his specialty) and some meat dishes. All are wonderfully cooked without putting too... More

My husband and I were able to secure a Thursday night dinner reservation via adding our details to the waiting list. Although there is a lot of hype around Attica, it definitely meets our expectations - worth a try for those who are curious. Pros: So happy we were given a booking on my husbands actual birthday. It was a... More

It may seem like a strange thing to say, but when you eat at Attica, you have to take a minute to change your mindset. It is not a restaurant that tries to impress with technical wizardry or futuristic plating, so at first you may think: "What's the big deal?!", but you'd be closing your mind to the experience and... New Zealander (Naki boy) Ben Shewry is regarded as one of the top 50 restaurants in the whole World. And Ben's food is amazing ... Gazza Vegemite pies, all the bits, of a pumpkin ... all amazing. Two stand outs for me were the tulips, and the chefs that introduce their dish creations. Wonderful restaurant Ben... felt very kiwi :)

You certainly need to book.We missed out a year ago so this year we booked 3 months in advance. One of the best dining experience we have ever had. We had over 20 different courses over 4 and a half hours with some unbelievable presentations all carefully explained by excellent staff. A highlight was able to pick our own tulip... More

The food was amazing the matched wines were perfect. The service spot on relaxed yet professional, but not "perfect". Had a great night nothing out of place and completely met our expectations.

You don't go to something like this without expecting something amazing. It was very good, don't get me wrong... but while there were some great flavours and nice produce, I didn't walk away feeling my $250 was well spent, and I love fine dining and generally happy to pay for 'amazing'. The Australiana theme was a nice touch but I... More

We booked 8 weeks in advance,it was worth the wait, the food was excellent and immaculately presented with each course explained, with the highlight of going to their garden in the backyard and pick a Tuplip that was past of your desert. Also a vist to our table by owner and chef Ben Shewry was an added surprise.
