Great location but is it really French? Good service but very average food. Pastry - this should be revisited.
Happened to pass by this place yesterday and bought 2 very reasonably priced cakes. One lemon tart and a tiny strawberry tart. They were both beyond delicious. I live nowhere near here but am going to have to return. Quickly.
Golden, buttery and moist, French Quarter makes the best croissants in Melbourne...and the best escargo....and apricot-almond brioche...baguettes...lemon tart. Simple decor, lovely service from an equally lovely Vietnamese family who know how to make french bread and pastries.

What I like about this place is the consistency. I'll always get a good coffee, though not strong enough for hardcore coffee addicts. It has the same range in the patisserie everyday again good but light flakey pastry in sight. Cakes are there best offering....More

Looks cute everytime we drive past to go home. Fadango at the corner has stolen our hearts since we discovered their french toast.
